Have a Seat - Greensboro Sit-Ins Civil Rights T-Shirt

On February 1, 1960, four Black college students walked into a Woolworth’s in Greensboro, North Carolina, sat at a whites-only lunch counter, and refused to move sparking months of nonviolent sit-ins that helped force desegregation across the South. My father was one of the many who sat down so that we could stand taller. This design is my way of inviting you into that story.
This design is more than just a civil rights graphic tee, it's a wearable receipts of what our people endured and changed. The design presents an image of my father and his classmates as photographed on February 2nd at the Woolworth's lunch counter. This movement exposed the hypocrisy of being allowed to spend money in the store and even make the food, but be banned from having a seat.
If you care about real American history, Black family legacy, and repping the real story behind segregation, this piece was made for you. Wear it to class, to the cookout, or on an ordinary Tuesday when you just want your clothes to say what’s on your spirit.
When you grab this, you’re keeping my family story alive and joining a long tradition of Black protest and pride.
Perfect for:
- Black history lovers, educators, and culture keepers.
- Anyone seeking a meaningful civil rights T-shirt or sweatshirt that actually tells a story.

- Washing: Machine wash at a low heat setting. Always wash inside-out with similar colors to prevent fading.
- Bleaching: Avoid using bleach; if necessary, opt for non-chlorine bleach only.
- Fabric Softeners: Do not use fabric softeners, as they can affect the print quality and fabric feel.
- Drying: Tumble dry on a low cycle or hang-dry for longer life.
- Ironing: If needed, cool iron inside-out. Avoid ironing directly on prints to preserve their quality.
